POST 7 - How can your studies make the world a better place.
I am a food
engineering student; how can my studies make the world a better place?
Today's
consumers are increasingly demanding in their diet, they constantly change
tastes and requirements.
Today most
of the population seeks a diet focused mainly on organic and unprocessed
products, we all know that these products have a short shelf life, but that is
what a food engineer is for. This has the ability to expand the diversity of
products and in turn improve the conservation, nutritional composition, safety,
among other properties in food without a major intervention in the quality of
the product. That is, a professional in my area is capable of delivering a
minimally processed food, functional for the requirements of the population.
This is one
of many interventions that a food engineer is involved in, but this has always
been in my greatest interest.
.
I agree with what you speak, today we are more aware of what we eat and professionals who studied the same as you generate more possibilities to consume quality and durable food.
ResponderEliminarHello, your work is very important, and very interesting.
ResponderEliminarHello Almendra, it is very true what you say, society “demonizes” processed foods hahah, when what we find mostly have a minimum of processing. It is an area that also intrigues me a lot.
ResponderEliminarHi, I think that as chemists we should work on making people lose their fear of chemistry, for example in relation to your career genetically modified organisms in my opinion are the future of food because it is necessary to modify certain fruits or vegetables for the extreme climatic conditions that will probably occur in the future.
